Chikitsak Samuha Shirolkar High School

Chikitsak Samuha Shirolkar High School (abbr: CSS High School) is an educational institute, established in 1906, and located in Girgaon area of Mumbai, Maharashtra State in India.
It has been a Marathi medium school since its inception, and has recently incorporated an English medium section. CSS High school has been especially well recognized as the Alma Mater of numerous top ranking students in Maharashtra State Secondary School (SSC) Board Examinations year after year.
CSS High School has provided excellent education to many generations of Maharashtrian students over the years, and has produced many Marathi writers, poets, scientists, economists, professors and doctors. To name a few, Professor Anant Kanekar, one of the pioneers of "Laghukatha"(short stories) in Marathi and Jaywant Dalvi, famous writer are two well-recognized alumni of CSS High School.
Well known teachers of CSS High School were Professor Vasudev Shankar Nabar or Nabar Sir was one of the famous Principals of CSS High school, from 1974 until 1984. Nabar Sir is also well known as Navneet, the author of some of the Navneet guidebooks.
